When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (managed by AWS Cognito). When you connect your Klaviyo account, we store your API key in encrypted form using AWS Secrets Manager.
When you run a personalization, we temporarily read customer profile data and purchase history from your Klaviyo account to generate personalized content. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
When you connect your Shopify store, we read your product catalog: product titles, descriptions, handles, tags, and product types. This data is cached in AWS DynamoDB so it can be used to enrich AI-generated content with accurate product details. We request read_products access only — we cannot modify your Shopify store or access customer or order data.
Your data is used solely to generate personalized email content and write it back to your Klaviyo profiles. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to any third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Shopify product data is used exclusively to provide product context to the AI when generating personalized content. For example, a product description from your catalog may be included in the AI prompt so the generated email copy accurately reflects your products. Product data is not shared with any third parties beyond AWS Bedrock (for AI processing).
Content generation is powered by AWS Bedrock (Anthropic Claude). AWS Bedrock contractually guarantees that inputs and outputs are not used to train or improve foundation models. Your customer data stays private throughout the generation process.
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Your Klaviyo API key and Shopify access token are stored in AWS Secrets Manager with strict access controls. Account data and cached product catalogs are stored in AWS DynamoDB. All infrastructure runs in AWS US-East-1.
Customer profile data from Klaviyo is read, processed, and written back in real-time. We do not retain copies of your customers' data after processing.
Shopify product data is cached until you disconnect your Shopify store or trigger a re-sync (which replaces the previous cache). No Shopify customer or order data is ever accessed or stored.
To deliver the service, we engage the following sub-processors:
Your Klaviyo and Shopify connections are not sub-processors — they are integrations you directly authorize and control. You can revoke either connection at any time from your settings.
If you require a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for your own compliance program, contact us at hello@sendpersonal.com.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. When you disconnect your Klaviyo account, your API key is removed from our systems. When you disconnect your Shopify store, your access token and cached product data are removed. We do not retain customer data after you stop using the service.
